MAINTENANCE AND UPGRADES RECOMMENDATIONS FOR BASIS TURNTABLES

New Belt

A Revolution Belt is $240. For use with the Synchro-Wave Power Supply, we recommend the Microthin Belt at $320.

Bearing Oil

The bearing can be removed from your turntable and shipped to Basis. We would clean the bearing and replace the bearing oil ($225).

Alternatively, you could purchase a 1 oz bottle of bearing oil ($86) and change the bearing oil yourself with instructions from Basis.

Suspension Fluid Upgrade

A suspension fluid upgrade costs $1,000.

Motor

If you have an issue with the motor, ship the motor assembly to Basis, and we can reuse the motor enclosure and install a new motor ($2,000). Alternatively, it is possible to purchase a new motor assembly ($2,500 for the 2000 series, $3,700 for the Debut).

Calibrator Base

The Calibrator Base with Cable Isolation brings the benefits of optimal positioning of the turntable suspension and increased isolation to the 2000 series.

The Calibrator Base with Cable Isolation System comes in clear or black acrylic.

Synchro-Wave Power Supply

The Synchro-Wave Power Supply runs the motor smoother and quieter, and offers fine speed adjustment and changing between 33 and 45 RPM with a switch.

Vacuum System

The Vacuum Record Hold-Down System restores even the most warped record to exact flatness. Certain older platters with no vacuum grooves may need to be replaced with vacuum platters to
accommodate the vacuum system.

Tonearm Upgrade

We would also recommend the Vector 4 or the SuperArm as the most significant upgrade options for your turntable.
